about making things look 'pretty' for the sake of it –
although the product should look good. And design is not
about having the most expensive print job or technically
advanced multimedia web site – although it can be.
Design is the process taken to transform a project from a
series of ideas and requirements, to a successful result. And the result must be fit
for the purpose.
However, design is also not a simple engineering
process. Branding, colour and usability often
work at more subtle levels and their effective
